Good advice about how to think about the end of internships and how it all comes down to the “sale of self.”
This is an unbelievable opportunity and perfect for GIT students. It’s an internship in Digital Media for seniors who are graduating by June 2014 (so Fall 2013 or Spring 2014 grads). And it’s PAID.
A description of the internship from the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s website:
The Digital Media Department offers one twelve-month internship for an individual with a background in video, media, design, art history, computer science, or related fields who would like to participate in the creation of new media and technology solutions. Digital Media leads the creation, production, presentation, and dissemination of the Museum’s multimedia content to support the viewing and understanding of the Met’s collections and exhibitions, both in the galleries and online.
For all of us who think Kayla is a princess… well, she really is! Kayla was chosen to be part of the 2012 ASU Homecoming Court. Way to go, Kayla!
A little late, but here are a few photos from the GIT convocation a couple of weeks ago.
Congrats to a couple of GIT students who are graduating next month – they have jobs!
Jason Gutierrez got the call yesterday from Ironwood Graphics (Consolidated Graphics) and is now gainfully employed. Sarah McGinnis also landed a job; she’ll be working at Go Daddy in Scottsdale.
I’d love to hear about other graduating or just graduated students and how they are fairing on the job market, so let me know!
